The Mick Wessel Memorial Scholarship was created by the Wessel family in January of 2023. The scholarship was established to honor the memory of Coach Wessel and his time at Chaffee High School as a junior high math teacher and coach. Coach Wessel was a 1966 graduate of Chaffee High School and came home to teach his entire career as a Red Devil.
The scholarship will be given to a student who completed their final two years at CHS, participated in a varsity sport and
will major in education.
