The Briggs Scholarship was created from a bequest from the Garth Briggs Revocable Trust. The Foundation began to administer the funds in 2007. The funds are to be used to provide scholarships for worthy students who are graduates of Chaffee High School or its successors. Primary consideration is given to financially needy students who intend to pursue a vocational or technical education.
Since it’s creation, the Briggs Scholarship has awarded over $1 million to the students of Chaffee Public Schools.
Distributions are made in memory of G. Quinton Briggs and Marie Briggs.
